Ablestate Privacy Policy

Effective Date: December 22, 2025

Ablestate (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you submit an expression of interest through our Google Form, use our services (CV refinement, proof-of-work development, and talent network placement), or otherwise interact with us.

By submitting your information or using our services, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not provide your information or use our services.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of personal information:

  • Information you provide directly: Name, contact details (email, phone, address), nationality, age verification details, CV/resume data (education, work experience, skills), proof-of-work samples, and any other details submitted via our Google Form or during the placement process.
  • Sensitive information: Details related to gender, disability status, or displacement status (only if voluntarily provided for prioritization purposes, as we encourage applications from women, forcibly displaced persons (FDPs), and persons living with disabilities (PLWDs)).
  • Automatically collected information: Limited technical data (e.g., IP address, form submission timestamps) via Google Forms.

We do not collect payment information unless a success fee becomes due (processed securely at that time).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your personal information solely for legitimate purposes related to our services:

  • To assess eligibility and provide free services (CV refinement, proof-of-work assistance).
  • To include you in our talent network and match you with job opportunities.
  • To communicate with you about opportunities, updates, or fee obligations (if applicable).
  • To improve our services and initiatives aimed at reducing unemployment and eradicating poverty.
  • To comply with legal obligations or protect our rights.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties or use it for marketing unrelated to our recruitment services.

3. Sharing Your Information

We share your information only as necessary:

  • With potential employers: Your CV, skills, and relevant details, but only with your explicit consent (e.g., when applying for a specific opportunity).
  • With service providers: Trusted partners (e.g., Google for form hosting) who assist in operations and are bound by confidentiality.
  • For legal reasons: If required by law, to protect rights/safety, or in connection with a business transfer.

We do not share sensitive information without your consent, except where required by law.

4. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You provide information at your own risk.

In the event of a data breach, we will notify affected individuals and relevant authorities where required by applicable laws.

5. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access: Request a copy of your data.
  • Correction: Update inaccurate information.
  • Deletion: Request removal of your data (subject to legal retention requirements or ongoing placement processes).
  • Withdrawal of consent: Stop processing where based on consent (may limit service eligibility).
  • Objection/Restriction: Object to or restrict certain uses.

To exercise these rights, contact us (details below). We will respond promptly and free of charge, unless requests are excessive.

We comply with applicable data protection laws, including those in the jurisdictions where we operate or where you reside.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information only as long as necessary:

  • For active candidates: Until placement is complete or you request deletion.
  • For unsuccessful or withdrawn candidates: Up to 2 years for potential future opportunities (unless you request earlier deletion).
  • Longer if required for legal, audit, or fee collection purposes.

After retention periods, data is securely deleted or anonymized.

7. International Data Transfers

As candidates may reside outside Africa and we operate across borders, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries with varying data protection standards. We ensure appropriate safeguards (e.g., contracts) for such transfers.

8. Third-Party Links and Services

Our Google Form is hosted by Google, and their privacy policy applies to data collection there (see Google’s Privacy Policy). We are not responsible for third-party practices.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted here with an updated effective date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance.
