Talent Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: December 22, 2025

By submitting your expression of interest through our Work Interest Expression Form, accessing our services, or participating in our talent network, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not proceed.

1. Eligibility

To participate in Ablestate’s job placement program, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a national of an African country (proof of nationality may be required; current country of residence is not a restricting factor).
  • Be 18 years of age or older.
  • Possess relevant digital skills suitable for remote or tech-related opportunities.

Ablestate does not discriminate on the basis of gender, ethnicity, religion, or any other protected characteristic. We actively encourage and prioritize applications from women, forcibly displaced persons (FDPs), and persons living with disabilities (PLWDs).

2. Services Provided

Ablestate offers the following services free of charge:

  • CV refinement and optimization.
  • Assistance in developing proof-of-work portfolios.
  • Inclusion in our talent network for job matching and placement opportunities.

We strive to connect qualified candidates with suitable employers, but we make no guarantee of job placement, interviews, or employment. Opportunities depend on employer requirements and market conditions.

3. Success Fee

  • All services are provided free of upfront cost.
  • If you secure employment directly through Ablestate’s placement process (i.e., a job offer facilitated by our talent network), you agree to pay a one-time success fee as follows:

    • 35% of your gross first month’s salary.
    • 15% of your gross second month’s salary.

  • Payment is due within 14 days of receiving each salary payment. Failure to pay may result in exclusion from future services.
  • No fee is charged if you do not secure a job through our placement process.
  • 100% of collected fees are reinvested into Ablestate’s initiatives aimed at reducing unemployment and eradicating poverty in African communities.

4. Candidate Responsibilities

  • You warrant that all information provided (including CV details, skills, and nationality) is accurate and truthful.
  • You agree to notify Ablestate promptly upon accepting any job offer facilitated through our services.
  • You are responsible for negotiating your own employment terms with employers.

5. Data Protection and Privacy

  • We collect personal data (name, contact details, CV, skills, etc.) solely for recruitment and placement purposes.
  • Your data will be treated confidentially and shared only with potential employers with your consent.
  • We comply with applicable data protection laws. You may request access, correction, or deletion of your data by contacting us.

6. Limitation of Liability

Ablestate is not liable for:

  • Any loss arising from unsuccessful job applications.
  • Employer actions, employment conditions, or disputes.
  • Indirect or consequential damages.

Our total liability is limited to the fees (if any) paid by you.

7. Termination

Ablestate may terminate or suspend your access to services at any time for breach of these Terms or if you no longer meet eligibility criteria.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Uganda. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
